Chins or Pull-Ups

Not an official lift in the USAWA or the IAWA, but still a good one to compete with. Photo on the left is Tim Ferguson at a bodyweight of 178 pounds chinning with an added 202 pounds for a total of 380. On the right is Joe Dellaghelfa at 166 pounds chinning with 186 pounds. Total weight is 352 pounds. This exercise is usually done with the palms of the hands facing away. However, when using added weight, it is best to have the palms facing the lifter.
